So this is Mavericks home, maverick is just over 3 weeks old and he’s definitely fitting in the the family! This is his night time quarters and a safe place for when I pop out of the room, I understand a lot of you will be saying I shouldn’t have just one goose and this wasn’t my intention to have just one but so far it’s working out, he always has human company and dog company so is never left alone, he has the run of the house and will have the run of the garden when the avian flu is over in the uk, he’s very quiet at night and during the day unless he’s interacting with me, and although he’s never left on his own he does take himself off to bed around the corner and out of my sight without any distress, he eats, drinks and poops perfectly well and a lot! Lol but i think he’s a very happy goose! I’ve made loads of toys for him and bought everything he will possibly want, I welcome your comments and opinions positive or negative and will answer any questions or worries you have regarding welfare of a lone goose but please remember all animals are different, and don’t always follow the norm, and I’m pretty sure he thinks he’s a human, he’s imprinted on me as I hatched him, unfortunately the second egg didn’t make it.
