Anyone else hatching Feb. 1st?

I have a batch of seven marans eggs and eight RIR eggs hopefully hatching on the 27th!

We have no patience. We candled tonight. Wow! 9 out of 12 of the Trader Joes's Fertile eggs seem to be developing. My 8 year old described it as a red spider in each that would rotate with the movement of the egg. The veining does sort of look like a spider. I hope this is a good thing. We couldn't see anything in the brown eggs.

yep that is what they look like, the brown eggs are easyer to see on day ten for candling. i have 36 RIR's eggs due the 2nd of feb

I candled today and 11 out of 12 babies are growing like crazy.

im expecting on the 6th of february, just in time for my birthday(13th) and my wifes (15th)
5 rirs 5 white leghorns and 1 auracana (green egg)
that is im just trying the eggs that we got today... to test fertility etc maybe crossbreeding??

me too I've got 13 barred rock eggs due on the second. First chick hatch in 12 years... I'm nervous too !

How are everyones eggs doing? I candled mine and it looks like I have 11 little babie growing.

I only checked a couple eggs last night. The white ones are progressing well, I think. I can see a very tiny embryo about a half inch with an black dot (eye maybe?) The veining really expanding since the other day too. I still can't see anything happening in the brown eggs. I don't think they are developing. What do brown eggs look like usually on day 7?

I've got a bunch of duck eggs that are due to hatch around the first as well. So far all but 1 is developing!
