So... Anyone see any early pips yet!?

My last hatch I had an early hatcher. He was in a rush for sure!!! He pipped the evening of day 18 and was fully hatched the next morning. Besides, I know there are some duck eggs and quail eggs that are coming up due and I'm sure a couple of early ducks are possible.

I just wanna see some hatching. I'm trying to stop going out to the coop to check on my broody ladies.

(Can I just say that one of my silkies has blown my mind! She already sat and hatched 2 chicks at the beginning of the month. After the 2 chicks hatched she took care of them for less then a week before they were sold and put eggs under another hen who had just gone broody that week. She went over and has been sharing the nest with the other broody this whole time without quitting!!! She LOVES to hatch apparently. She's been sitting for almost 50 days. Crazy silkie!!!)

Ok, now after doing more reading on humidity, I hope I will not drown my babies! I have been having the humidity yo-yo around from 29% up to 75% (when it was high I would open a vent to get it back into the 60% range), and now I have read that the humidity should be up at 65-70% when they are hatching!

So is this a disaster in the making? I let the humidity get really low last night (29%) so the eggs would lose some of their extra moisture. Think they will be ok? I will candle and remove the turner tomorrow night.

Fingers crossed!

OK, tomorrow is day 18 but I am hearing pecking coming from inside now, no piping that I see. I will be leaving to cover for my son at work in about an hour. I will be gone until around 4 in the morning. Is it too big a risk to let the eggs stay in the turner with pecking going on or will I be OK ?????
