Anyone else hatching?

Oh you should see how protective of my polish ( my fro babies) they get brought up to my kitchen door and TIED down at night with motion lights I have boards with nails. I keep my hatches in my room until they get their big bird feathers. I put them outside and all that. I love my birds. I suffer horribly from Ptsd and I found my outlet with my birds after 20 years!
That’s awesome, hubby called me protective of the eggs today and I told him yes sir I am.. they are my children too 🙂

If I tried having chicks in our room, hubby would put me on the back porch with them too lol

We don't have a porch big enough to set something up for them so I have no choice. Which has lead to over bonding on my part. Maybe a little on these 2 also. Lol these are what started it all this year. That's their transport cage to their run and back since I cannot leave them out there at nights until I reinforce their house to keep them as safe as humanly possible.

I hatched out three chickens that I had with Guinea eggs to take up the spots in the incubator.
I have quail hatching also.

I've got a dozen Indian Game/Dark Cornish in the incubator right now, due in a couple of weeks. I've got some Orpingtons out of the incubator just 14 days ago, and after the current batch I'm due some CornishX eggs arriving once these fellas hit about a week old.

I very much look forward to our birds being old enough to increase their numbers without intervention from me.
