Anyone else hatching?

It's making its way out. So far I'm up to 5. Cutest little things I can't wait til everyone is out and I can hold them for the split second it takes to move them. It bugs me having to look at them looking at me like hey you gonna let us outta here. If it was me in a 90* heat I'd be pecking thru to get air and water but I'm not a chicken... I do know I have a black and white looking Turken and there's a silver looking turken. But I have no clue what these other ones are and plan to ask this evening when I get my son off the bus. I feel like a kid on Christmas who came down stairs to that new bike ( who am I kidding kids today wanna come downstairs to a new Playstation. Or xbox) 😁👻
My kid wants an incubator. Lol.

well 6 puffy nuggets made it. unfortunately something went wrong with the 7th, it looked like shrink wrap when I opened it this morning. I candled it last night and no movement but figured I would wait but it didn't make it.
I’m sorry about 7th egg. It’s always such a disappointment….
They are SO ADORABLE, by the way!
I am so happy with these little puff that I want to keep hatching until spring lol
Oh boy. And now the addiction starts.
Don’t worry, you’re not alone!:gig
I had to pull the very first born out cause he was being so mean to the second one that came out, it kept pecking it everywhere and wouldn't give up.. the meany but now they are all good
Glad to hear they’re doing good, now!
It seems like the picking stops once they’re all dry.

So I have ended up with 6 thus far. 2 turkens, a black and white one and one that is white. 2 little grey chicks 2 black and white chicks. I don't know what the ones that aren't a turken are just yet.

And so it begins!!!! For what it's worth incubating and hatching chicks is better in spring amd summer. This hatch will be my final until March (to keep with nature). Two precious chicks have hatched this morning. It's an incredible feeling watching these tiny eggs develop and then hatch out into the world. Good luck with your eggs.

So, I always thought that “the season” was mainly so that the birds would start laying by winter.
Because, all of the chicks hatching now, are living through their first winter now, before they lay eggs, and will molt next year.
