You guys have Nothing on my little one!! This is Lu...was LuLu but now we are pretty sure LuLu is a Lu! He's our crazy RIR dinosaur!!! LOL He really doesn't look as bad as he did last week...but we didn't get pictures then.

well my ugly chick is now three weeks old, and I have a feeling its going from ugly duckling to a beautiful swan... well chicken at least! Its getting some really cool pattering going on. Now we just have to wait and see if its a boy or a girl

pretty! i honestly have never seen a truly ugly chick and doubt i ever will. i think they are all cute even if some are more awkward or featherless than others.

I had a few Light Sussex hatch with bare butts. This was how they were looking at about 6 weeks. They seem to have an extreme-slow-feathering gene as well as a gene for no fluff on the rear end.

They're about 9 weeks now, and are finally feathering up, but I don't think I'll breed from the bare butted ones. Too ugly!
