Anyone else have problems with there Leghorns hens combs???

I just think it looks bothersome... maybe its just me. I love leghorns!! Got 25 leghorn eggs in the bator now!!!

I too loved my Leghorns when I had them. They were touch-me-nots, but who cares....they laid a nice big egg every day! And my Brown LH rooster was gorgeous. And he didn't attack - ever! He was a good boy.
The hens have floppy combs.

Leghorn hens are prone to the floppies of floppyness

Nah their combs are like that. They do fine with a little bit on bag balm rubbed on their comb and wattles. If you are just keeping them for eggs I would dub them if you are in colder climates, but remember those big Ol' combs help them to cool down during the hottest of days in the summer.

I love my Leghorns! Their big ol cuddle bugs!

I love my leghorns! They won't let me touch them (except, surprisingly, when they are in the nest box!), but they're good layers and very curious. I do worry about frostbite, will have to put some vaseline on their combs tomorrow.
