My whole flock of 12 have IBV. I've done the full shabang for them and they are slowly getting back to normal...my question is about their egg laying. I have 2 hens laying who have completely stopped and 10 pullets who are all at the POL but haven't started yet. I have read ibv only effects hens amount of laying and quality if they were already laying eggs when they got sick, so does that mean the ones who haven't started laying yet won't have a decrease in laying when they do start? Also has anyone had chickens with ibv before who were laying at the time? If so when they started laying again did their laying decrease significantly or even at all? I know it says they will decrease im laying once they start back but I want to know people's personal experience with it. I've read a lot about ibv and I understand it sticks with them forever I just have questions about their egg laying ability after coming down sick. All feedback is much appreciated!
