Anyone else in Molting season?

Good to know I am not the only one.

I did my egg total today for a 14 day period. I lost a couple due to cracking or the dog (he likes eating them). I got 26 good ones. I have 4 ducks so ideally I should have almost double that. So I’d say they are at just over 50% laying capability while molting.

One interesting thing I found was my only Rouen mix hasn’t stopped laying. I’m still getting nearly an egg a day from her. In the picture below hers are the blue/green ones. 11eggs from a 14 day period. Pretty sure I lost a couple of hers to the dog as I seen blue shells on my deck. The other 15 eggs are split between my saxony, blue Swedish & Harlequin. That makes only 5 (perhaps a little more) eggs a duck in 2 weeks!

Pretty sure I’m not missing a nest somewhere but it could be possible.

My show chickens are starting to molt! And they are being shown Wednesday!

Mine are molting but I thought that was normal for 9 weeks. Weather has been pleasant the last few weeks.

Yes totall normal at that age. My flock are all just over a year sooo this is their 1st real adult molt.

No molting here yet. I thought my Rouen was starting to molt last week as she lost a few feathers. However, I think it was more closely related to her illness... Although maybe her “flare-up” was triggered by the beginning of her molt? We’ll see!

My Muscovy gals prefer to wait until it gets extremely frigid outside before dropping all of their feathers. My smaller hen then shivers miserably until she grows in her new feather suit.

Oh, and I’m in Vermont for reference.

My Muscovies and Chickens started a week ago, feathers are every where.
My egg production hasn't dropped to what I thought with Molt but I'm also experiencing black snake in my nesting box.

I thought a bobcat had come back and stolen another chicken from right out of the backyard last week and just left feathers behind until I did a nose-count and still had the correct number of beaks. Slight moment of panic...
