Anyone else into tropical fish?

I'm just down to one male crowntail betta. I've had him for about 3 years now and he's still going strong. I don't know how I manage to keep my bettas alive for so long. My room mate never has luck with 'em. Personally I think the trick is to hardly feed them!

I used to have a little ten gallon with some corys and a few platys. They lasted about a year and then I lost just about all of them except one platy and one cory when I left the tank at home for a semester. I ended up giving them to my room mate and used the tank for a crested gecko.

i used to do south and central american cichlids, they were awesome fish, big, mean and hungry and don't forget beautiful, i had a 55, a 125 and 220 gallon tank, i had a turushkin catfish that was 15 inches long, a marbecat that was 12 inches long and a white channel cat that was 14 inches when i gave it to a friend, she put it in her farm pond and now it's about 2 feet long!!! i gave all my fish and tanks away when i moved, i really miss them, i fed heavy with beef heart and did partial water changes bi weekly, they grew like weeds when you do that, it was very easy actually

I have Nean Tetras, Mollies, Hatchet Fish, Ghost Cats, Plecostomuses, Scissor Tailed Tetras, Long Finned Zebra Danios, Corey Cats, and others that I forgot.
