Anyone else kiss their chickens??

Oh, we kiss ours all the time. Mine know that if they get picked up, a kiss is GOING to happen, it's unavoidable. They have learned to just sit still and accept it, lol. Here is my 10 year old with one of our birds:

Ok ok me to.

I just love giving them kisses on their necks. They are so soft and mushy. I swear sometime they keep their necks stretched out for me to give them necky kisses.

Yummy

....those people were only making those faces to cover up the fact that THEY in fact kiss their own chickens so they wouldn't look silly too.

I kiss my chickies all the time. They love it. They'll just sit there in your arms and coo contentedly. After you stop; a second or two later they will open their eyes and look at you like "um, you stopped BECAUSE!?"

My Delawares, Cochins, and Dark Brama's are particularly lovey. Buff Orpingtons however are just head and shoulders sloppin' over with love. One of mine aptly named "Sweetie Pie" will come over, peck at your legs till you pick her up. Then she'll nestle her head between your chin and chest. It's the cutest thing. I've really worked with her since she was a little tiny thing just a few days old. She's about the nicest chicken I've ever seen.
