Granny's gone and done it again

Hope you are able to find a solution real soon Granny.
Hope you are all good soon too Capricorn.
Thanks, I have had two courses of antibiotics and steroids! Scary that's can't get rid of it for a while.

Austin got his results. Yes it is what i thought. Did he get to looking it up? Oh yes. At least he knows it's a slow moving cancer. Oh..and he looked at symptoms of course. He says..oh wow, that explains my itching every single night.
Monday he and Bronwyn will go on together to see what's next. He knows now, that if he doesn't keep on top of this, it easily turns to Leukemia. In fact if he hadn't found out this early, folks are gone within months, up to 18 months. Sooo thankful for that pesty bulging disc.

Goodness. I'm beginning to wonder about yoyr immune system. 😬
It sucks. I think there is a genetic factor as many female children on my mother's side had either RF or Scarlet fever. My mother had Scarlet. I don't know how many cousins had Rheumatic. One I know had to spend a year in bed.

Basically Rheumatic Fever is an allergic (auto immune) reaction of sorts to the bacteria that causes Strep throat. It causes inflammation to attack the soft tissue around joints and heart valves leaving scar tissue behind. Basically your body turns against itself. That's why even though I took penicillin each time I had a strep throat, I had an outbreak of Rheumatic Fever. Even though treated, my body is 'allergic' to the bacteria and reacts negatively.

The doctors office did labs on me a few years back and called me up all worried because one of the tests showed that I had a strep infection. I assured them I felt fine and didn't what they were seeing was the marker left from me having Rheumatic Fever and that I would show positive for the rest of my life.

Fun Fun....not.

With two courses of steroids, I'd be moving our belongings to our new house single handed. In about 48 hours! :hmm

I think I read something about bone marrow biopsy for the polycythemia vera if that is what he is dealing with. Thank God they caught it early and he's in good health otherwise. That will make a big difference for him.

I have to admit. I looked at the picture first and thought, now what the heck do you cook using goose heads? The feet I can understand. Skin them down, toss them in a pot and you have some mighty fine bone broth. I can remember my mother talking about eating chicken feet when she was little. The heads are a bit of a stretch though.

You dogs will think they are having Christmas and birthdays rolled up into one. Ours would.
