Anyone else ordering from Superior Farms?

They don't advertise that their chicks will be SQ -- only that the parent stock is SQ. There's a better chance of getting a chicken that looks like the breed should look when both parents are good representatives of the breed. Getting a chick that's actually SQ would be the icing on the cake.

Their La Fleche birds... WOOP WOOP

Looks like a bunch of nit-picking to me.

I've gotten birds from them, and they are much better than some of the "breeders" on BYC and other forums such as the COOP.

It may be true, that a breeder who works with one specific breed may have better quality birds, but those breeders also want an arm and a leg for their cull birds. I'm happy to see that a group of people and Lew have decided to forego the ridiculous prices and do what others either cannot or will not do.

Finding good quality birds for a fair price is difficult and at the least, the birds from Superior Farms can be used as foundation stock for others to work off of.

I saw the Orps...just didn't register with me to take photos of them! Nobody requested them! lol!

They have VERY nice size as well as plenty of fluff. Nice large heads with the brows sagging. Gorgeous buff coloration with NO black or graying in the tail or wing feathers.

This picture is as close as I can find to help you see what I'm talking about. This bird looks like a pullet to me, but could possibly be a hen.

Differences: They have more of a "cushion" on their rear rather than that straight angle.

FORGOT TO MENTION:

Superior Farms is wanting to sell out of their Japanese bantams. They have whites and the black tailed versions.
