Anyone else really disappointed in PineTree Seed Co. this year?

I sure am. I loved that little company, but my sweet corn didn't grow right, I don't think it was the right seed. I ordered four different kinds, and they all looked identical, and we had a good rainy year and it died on the stalk! And, my romano bush beans turned out to be purple royalty climbers . . .they did great, but I wanted the Romano. My moonvine seeds did NOTHING either, really sad about that . . . I know they had issues with getting stuff to us, but I think they had a real meltdown of some kind.

Not with that company, but I ordered agapanthus from White Flower Farm last season, they sent me a postcard with a credit saying they're sorry, it's out of stock. I get a catalog a couple of weeks ago from WFF with the agapanthus I wanted listed in the catalog.

They won't send $$ back, only credit - well, keep the $$, since they need it so bad, I'm not buying from them again.

I don't use them but I hope you contacted them. Most companies appreciate helpful friendly feedback.

It has been a strange year for gardening for me, the weather I am sure, but it sounds like most of those problems are not weather related. The corn might be. My early corn was not very good production-wise, but my later corn has done great. I plant several different plantings of corn so I should have fresh corn all summer.

My corn didn't like the cool weather we had this year , not sure I'd blame that on the seed company, corn needs warm soil as well as rain to germinate and grow properly. Almost everybody i know in this areas corn either didn't do well or had to be completely replanted and even the field corn is very short this year. We totally gave up on corn this year after 2 attempts at planting seed from various companies, none of it came up well. Weather could be the issue with your moonvine too , not sure.
