that's life. If it happens, I'll be thrilled anyway and hope for the best. Not really very likely to happen anyway.

well, the miracle happened, I'm pregnant. 19 weeks. despite medical conditions, PCOS, etc... so I've dropped most of my medications and changed some, now we can only hope that the miracles keep happening and baby survives this... and if I'm really lucky, so will I.

So I guess I need to not be part of this thread any more.

It took my sister 7 years to get pregnant with her first child and 4 for her secon and then 1 year fo her last child. fingers crossed that it will happen for you soon... Just try to relax

Patients with PCOS are some we have the highest success rates with.

Yes, Clomid (clomiphne citrate) and Metformin are both really effective in treating patients who want to get pregnant. We use both in our office, however some places will not use Metformin as a fertility drug, as it is an off-label use.

Good luck! I'll bet you'll be pregnant within 3 mos!

I'll still be around, but I know from experience how hurtful it can be if you can't have a child and everyone ( or so it seems at the time) is saying, "well, I had this problem and I got pregnant!" so... I'll be quiet in this thread.

Ebwy...I've been following the other thread..and i have been rooting for you!! It sounds like all is going well with you... I'm so glad for you!!

As for me... Well.. I FINALLY got up the $7,600 for the Donor egg IVF...
bun.gif

And they FINALLY gave me a great donor profile! (i didnt accept the first profile because it made me nervous.. i wanted a donor with PROVEN fertility..)
Shes 30
shes a nurse
shes Irish (i think..)
she has 3 children (so shes fertile)
big_smile.png

She has brown hair
blue eyes
medium skin tone
shes 5'9
weighs 145 lbs
shes a young 30..shes very healthy and active
and they said that she is VERY attractive... (which they dont usually put on the donor profiles..)
So... we're really excited!

But now i need another $1,200 for Donor meds... i'm trying to get help with those through Compassionate Care Program... (and it looks like i will be approved)
so it may take me a couple more weeks... but i'll be starting soon!! I hope this works... this is ALL the money i have right now... I wont be able to afford another IVF cycle...So all my eggs are literally in one basket!!

I don't think I can be much help to anyone, though... doctors told me I couldn't have help to get pregnant because of all the other risks involved.... It was supposed to be all but impossible for me to get pregnant too... so there's proof that miracles happen (or that doctors aren't always right). But there was no medical assistance to get pregnant at all, I stopped some of my meds and here we are... which means it's possible that the meds were causing early miscarriages all along without me knowing I was even pregnant.

Mrs. Turbo :

that is great redhen.....i have been following your story and keeping my fingers crossed.
