Anyone else struggling with Infertility?

I had a doctor who diagnosed me with the old "tilted womb" theory and told me I could only get pregnant with help-this was when I was 16 so I was like WOOT! Wrong. I was pregnant a month after I got married. Carried that one, Cres, to term with many, many problems but the next one died in utero at 30 weeks and there was so much scar tissue the doctors said there would be no more kids. As I was getting a divorce I was like WOOT! Later I met my husband and his parents wanted to know if there was any way at all to fix my fertility problems. They did the tests on the tubes and showed that they were indeed 100% blocked BUT apparently the test itself tore something loose and I got pregnant with my miracle baby Dani and then yet another miracle Adam. We have since adopted several of our special need foster babies and found that to be the best experience ever. As a side note, both my biological daughters have PCOS probably inherited from me. Cresta has gone through several years of unsuccessful treatment for fertility and has just finished her homestudy to adopt children from foster care. No, this is not a suggestion to adopt from foster care even though I loved the experience and my daughter has been so moved by our children that she too is doing it. Foster adopt is definitely not for everyone.

hope this turns out but here is our family that we are trying to adopt.

OK....a couple of things...YOU ARE IN GREAT LUCK!!!! You are 45 minutes (according to Google maps) from Atlanta....home to RBA (Reproductive Biology Associates)! They are at the top of the game! You can hardly do any better!! Seriously - they are good.

Who is telling you that you need a referral? Do they mean "authorization"? There is a difference. Your Obgyn can refer you - but it is true that if you're under 32 (or so) most places will want you to have been trying for a year before seeing them.

You go girl!!!! you know your stuff. Love IT!!!!!

red hen- that stinks that it is so expensive to get donor eggs. I'm sure it is a pain to donate eggs. IVF is a pain, and if you donate you basically do everything excpet the transfer...

I went through 3 IVF cycles.. It is no fun. I had good quality eggs, but I a slow responder/low producer.. so instead of being ready for harvest after 14 days on meds, it took me around 18 days.. and I might get 4-7 eggs, while other women would have 10-20. I never had any extras.

Nava- good luck with the adoption.
