Anyone else struggling with Infertility?

Wow.I'm so sad for you all. I'd add some productive words to this, but I can't. I know almost diddly-squat about this. If I'm unlucky,and if this thread lasts about thirty years, I'll be sharing my story then....lol..................

This organization accepts peoples' "extra embryos"...like my sister - she went through IVF 3 times, now has 2 kids...and had 8 "embryos on ice".

What to do???? They are Catholic, so tossing them was out of the question. Research - maybe. Donating to other needy couples?? Ding ding ding - we have a winner!

This is a reputable organization and worth a look. Success rates for frozen cycles (using frozen embryos) is lower than for fresh (non-frozen) cycles, but the cost is also much lower. There is evidence that embryos frozen in the last two years will thaw better than older ones (due to improvements in the media used to freeze them in the first place)...so if everything is equal, choose embroyos that have been on ice less than 2 years.


ETA - I mean this info as a resource for those who might be interested in "adopting" embryos from them...
