Anyone else trying to lose weight or get healthier?

I think half of the world is trying to loose weight right now lol. Im not big by any means but I used to be super fit and and a great weight. Now.. i have a little extra wiggle. Covid is hard. Everytine I feel motivated i can't go to the gym. Everytime I start doing home work outs i get past the pint of body weight doing anything for me. And definitely feel you guys on the binge eating.. i get a craving and it's done lol i just hit 30 so my metabolism has really changed. Doesnt help i have chronic pain and bad hypermobility. Im only allowed to do certain work outs.
Chronic pain is really debilitating. I feel for you.:hugs
I have Fibromyalgia and I don' take pain meds because I don't need another problem on top of everything else! But it makes exercise an issue. As long as I stay moderate I'm usually ok but some days it'll make my fibro flare and I'm down for a few days. I always heard getting old was not for the faint of heart...I'm a believer! 😅 Let's not even talk about those food cravings....OMG my son brought in some Halloween Reese's Pumkin chocolate candy and I swear I dreamed of them!😱

I've had a stationary bike, a treadmill and a Pilates Reformer taking up space in our family room for years. Every once in a while I'd use one or more of them. They've really come in handy since this lockdown! I'm gonna come out of this less vulnerable to the virus and better than ever!

I started lockdown in my pajamas all day. Now I'm in workout clothes all day.
You need to invest in a rowing machine to add to your home work out. It's one of the few low impact exercise things I have that I actually enjoy. I can zone out on it and get in a meditative state or if I'm not feeling it I can do it while watching TV.

No more room! But, happily, the Reformer is also practically no impact.

I first used one when I had 2 knees replaced and had to do rehab. It was sooooo much easier doing things on the Reformer than I'd ever experienced before. I was exercising and I didn't even feel like I was. I knew I had to have one.

If you know what you're doing (I don't!) you can work any muscle group. You just do it lying on your back or sitting on your tush.

Omg that is so funny you said that! I just bought some of the white chocolate ones for my employees and I had to eat one lol. Theyer so good. I try to not take anything for the pain but sometimes I have to. I usually only use my muscle relaxers for when everything siezes up but the heavy stuff I usually only use once in a blue moon when I just need a break and can't take it. Same, I've laid in bed for days before because I cant move my neck. Someone tell me how do you loose weight in bed haha. Do you have any advice on tricks for pain? I swear I've tried it all.

TENS Therapy, Deep meditation, epsom salt baths and lots of prayer! :D Of course my support animals like my dogs, cat and chickens help keep me motivated and moving. ;)

I am a HUGE fan of Beach Body and one of their trainers Autumn Calabrese. She is such a great motivator! I bought their year long body on demand program. You can get any of their workouts and stream them at home. Quite a few don't need equipment, some do. Right now I am doing the Body Beast program. It's hard but I love lifting weights. Nothing makes you feel stronger than lifting weights, and being able to lift heavier every week. 🏋 I also work in a school cafeteria so that has helped me move more now. A quote from Autumn, "If you hate starting over, stop giving up." We CAN DO THIS!

Edited to add: I'm sooo glad this thread was started! I really needed the motivation:frow

Looking forward to some motivation from all you awesome people!

I travel a lot for work so I'm always on the go and food is always gotten and eaten in a hurry.....
I find it difficult to make healthy choices when I need something quickly
