Anyone else TV-free?

I even liked the commercials when i was a kid. Today its hard to even figure out what they are advertising

Is that not the truth? Without offending anyone, I contend that one has to be at least semi-retarded to even begin to understand the commercials today because they are so senseless. They are an insult to one's intelligance.

the other day, about how important sleep is, and especially the *quality* of sleep...not just quantity. Made me consider shutting it off at night, to see if I actually feel better in the mornings. I haven't yet though

Are you kidding? DH and DD would die. I could live without it although I would miss Animal Planet and Discovery channel which is mostly the only thing I watch.

Me and my husband have tried to be tv-less several times by choice. Every time someone feels bad for us and pitch in to buy us one. AWKWARD! We have had 3 tvs, but have never bought one. We try to keep it for an appropriate length of time and then give it away.
