Anyone else TV-free?

I was TV free for 5 years before I moved up here to the farm. I think my SO would go into serious withdrawels if he had to give up TV. I can't watch TV for more than 30 minutes at a time. I just don't have the attention span for it. I'm only faithful to Jeopardy. It's interactive so I don't get bored. Having ADD as an adult is a hoot!

OH and about commercials....Echo found a home! Was I the only one that cried watching Pedigree's commercial about Echo being passed up at the pound? With the new Echo found a home commercials I cry even harder.

I have so many shows I used to watch, now I don't have time. I just sat down today and deleted the whole season of LOST off the PVR, plus about 6 episodes of House and Survivor. If I haven't found time to watch them, where in the world will I find the time to watch all the back episodes? We have 89% free on the PVR now, tho'!

I do like the XM Music channels that the satelite comes with. Our other TVs are slaves to the commercial-free kids channels, like Noggin and Sprout.

I do however, sit down to catch the new episodes of Antiques Roadshow. I love that show.

I personally could go without watching t.v., I have to fight to watch any of my shows as mostly what is on is kids shows and DH's hockey and car shows. Sadly I am the one actually paying or StarChoice, but what do I get to choose to watch??

Almost TV free. (Not by my choice)

No cable, no satellite, no antenna anymore (thanks to wind storm). Just cheap rabbit ears that don't work well. We can't even find a new antenna!!
We do get to watch the news, MASH, Andy Griffith, Beverly Hillbillies, and the British comedies on PBS. Not much else comes in.

I do miss Animal Planet, and Pro Rodeo though. DH will not pay for satellite or cable. Don't even know if we can get cable here anyway.

TV has gotten horrible to watch, though. Most of it should be on Pay Per View, not regular TV.

I long to be tv free again-I was raised tv free but dh was not. When we move somewhere out of cable range I'll spring it on him!

We have been tv free for close to 10 years and I wouldn't have it any other way. I honestly think they are EVIL. We have a dvd and vcr and watch G movies.... lots of I Love Lucy, the Waltons, Bonanza etc.

Psalm 101 I will set no evil before my eyes.

How much of what is on TV is not evil. And to even get the okay shows, like animal planet etc, you have to get everything else AND deal with the commercials. Ugh, so not worth it.

OMG.......i dont know if i believe echo was a true story. But how they got him to play the part so perfect was good.......they musta walked by with a delmonico in their pocket or something!!!!!
And someone mentioned I love Lucy.......my daughter is 20 and watches it on tv now.....she saw the show where lucy ordered a couple hundred baby chicks to sell eggs and get rich. But Ricky said to get rid of them and she was trying to hide them all or something to keep them. Anyone remember that one? I wonder if its on youtube
