Anyone else waiting on late hatchers?

I'm on day 24 today. Last candled on day 18 and all 11 looked good, 5 or 6 with definite movement. Hoping something happens today. Mine were also silkies.

I have two eggs left, day 22...one is rockin' and rollin' so I am not giving up yet..

I was about to hit day 22 on my 6 Lavender Orps. I candled them last night and saw movement in 5. This morning, one egg was peeping but still no pips. I could feel movement in only four. Then it dawned on me. Those eggs were porous. Very porous. I realized that they were shrink-wrapping in there before they even pipped. I carefully broke into the air cell of the one that was peeping, and if I'd been an hour later it'd have been too late. Every single inner membrane was paper-white. I moistened them all and I'm keeping a close eye on them; it looks like the remaining four will be fine.

For those of you waiting for the Silkie eggs to hatch. I just had a hatch of Silkies I had no wiggling peeping or any sign of life until they chick pipped and that didn't start until late on day 21 with 11 of 30 that went into lockdown 2 more hatched on day 22 but needed help they got shrink wrapped because the vault was large and couldn't turn their head to finish hatching. Both are doing well now and then we had one hatch on day 24 the day I had planned to toss the remaining eggs luckily I was waiting until the full 24th day was finished. Good Luck to all waiting

I'm at end of day 22. My parner said she heard chipring thouh I was outside at the time. Heard it agian..
Kid's came home, said they heard it. Guess I really have bad hearing!

So I'm at end of 22, spent most of day outside to get away from eggs I can't even hear!

Nervous wreak...

I am longing to candle these chicks, it is now day 22, but I don't want to hurt them. Can I safely candle at this point or should I wait and wait.
thanks

It has been a couple week since my hatch date and I got one chick. another zipped half way around the egg and then stopped. there was blood below the egg. all the other eggs had fully developed chicks but they never even pipped. One peeped. How does a person know if they are shrink wrapped in the egg. And why did the one bleed to death. Did the other little chick peck the egg . I want to do it again but I don't want to make the same mistakes and have all those little chick die. Any advice.
PS the little silkie who made it is doing well. we bought a farm banny to keep her company and they seem to get on well.
