the last 3 bags i got are marked July 2023
i notice the pellets look smaller
i'm concerned because I remember back in winter or early spring when a lot of people were talking about not getting any eggs and blaming feeds and somebody said some thing about how a certain feed was pressurized too much into smaller pieces and the birds weren't able to get the nutrition out of them like they used to....
anyone else notice this?
I might try to contact the company and tell them I noticed the change and ask them why

I wouldn't worry too much about it - I feed the same feed and haven't noticed any difference or trouble with egg production.

Plus, that feed thing was all a big hoopla over nothing. Some people right here on BYC even sent in feed that people were claiming was causing a lack of egg production to have it analyzed, and it all came back fine, nothing weird it in, more or less meeting the nutrients listed on the label. It wasn't labeled when it was sent out so there was no way for the lab to know what feed it was either, AND multiple people sent in feed and got basically the same results.

Also, it was a different brand of feed everyone was questioning anyway, made by a totally different manufacturer :) Honestly I wouldn't be concerned. You could always reach out and ask if they changed the pellet size, though.
