Anyone else's chickens afraid of snow.

Yeah, that's a big old "NO THANK YOU" from my flock!

Unfortunately, it's here for 3-4 months. Sorry girls!

I made them a friend. They ate off his eyes and mouth (BOSS) and pecked his belly quite a bit.

This morning, there was an inch of snow on some of the run. They didn't want to come out, but they did eventually. Especially for snack time.

Mine dislike rain, peck at but don't care for snow, & hate wind more than anything. Today is our 1st snow but it's been very windy. They'll look out the window with a disgusted or disappointed expression. Roosters will peek a head out of the chicken door, but refuse to go out & won't let the hens go out or pass them, they block the door til I shut it again, keep the coop safe & dry from the offensive wind & snow. Nope, too windy & nasty today! 😆

Yeah, im in the south so we see snow once or twice a year maybe so even the older ones forget what it is before they see it again.
They won't go out if the ground is covered, and if they see it falling everybody sounds the alarm.
So far iv'e been spared this year, but winter isn't out of here just yet.:)

Mine hate snow but like many others, enjoy eating it. So I shovel walking paths for them in the run so they can move around a bit, and then wait for it to melt...

ROFL great photo!!

So cute! I'm going to do this if we get any snow this year!

This is my flock!!😂😂😂 They will happily stand in puddles of freezing water, while they keep a weary eye on the snow, like it's going to jump up and bite them🙄😂😂
