Anyone ever buy eggs off ebay

I've purchased from a few different sellers and with the exception of one "farm" (2 breeds purchased) have had decent hatching rates, including on Seramas which allegedly don't ship well.

I bought some silkie eggs off ebay and im on day 9 so far 17 out of 20 are going strong so thats great BUT i ordered fron another person at the same time and most of the eggs arent even fertile out of 32 i think i have about 8 fertile eggs the rest are blah so sometimes ya get good ones sometimes ya dont!

I just bought Copper Marran eggs off Ebay and they came wrapped in newspaper (individually), dirty and scratched. I put them in the incubator just to have them explode from being rotten. I complained to the person who sold them to me and she sent me another batch. Again dirty and scratched and rotten. I paid a total of $52. I will never buy off E-bay again.

i guess it all depends who u buy from, none of mine were dirty or scratched and were packed very well, sooo the buyer did there job, but i dnt know if i can say the same for the postal service.

So far on ebay I have had good luck with clean r no cracked eggs.rossing fingers on the remark & knocking on wood!But with the fertility I don't know as of yet only on day 2 of incubation

just candled my eggs but still early to tell, but out of my 8 buff barred cochin bantams 4 look good so far, only 3rd day of incubation sooim hopful theres more that r good, they have tan shells making it hard to c very well
