Anyone feed out of wooden feeders?

My mom uses a wooden feeder handmade by my dad. It hangs on the side of the coop so it doesn't get real dirty. Also, I think he might've covered part of it in tin which helps keep the weather off of it.

i built a wooden feeder, just pour the grain in the top an fills up the trought at the bottom, it holds 120# of feed , i put a steep angled lid on the top to dicourage roosting and also put the entire feeder on concrete blocks to keep it cleaner from litter.

All right!!!

My hubby built ours. It is angled for automatic feeding. It has a hinged lid and only hold 50lbs of feed to encourage cleaning. We have an old canister vac that we suck out the yuck and then hose it down. We spray with a bleach mix and hose again. We clean it once a week when we clean out the rest of the coop.
