Anyone feed wheat hay to there horses??

Our hay guy ran out of oat hay but said he has wheat hay. Never feed wheat hay and thought I would see what others thought of it.

Ask him how far along the wheat was when it was baled. The beards on wheat have tiny barbs that can cause an issue. We feed wheat hay to our cattle, but if it's not put up soon enough the barbs can cause lump jar in cattle and I would think it would be the same in horses.

Found out it's beardless wheat so ok for the horses..
