Anyone from Missouri?

Hey ya'll, I was born and raised in the springfield area. Been living in Georgia a few years now. You can take the Missourian out of Missouri, but you can't take the Missouri out of the Georgian. Feeling home sick, thought I would hop in and say hello. Gas and airfare getting to high to visit very often now--dang and double dang! How is the weather there? I sure wish we could get some of your rain. Our lakes are still 13 feet under and we've been on water and fire bans for at least a year. Hope all is well, Lori

Checking in from KC, MO!

I'm still migrating over from the other BYC, taking some time to get used to the new board here.

I see alot close to me here.

Anyway, I am the crazy chicken lady. I have 12 birds now, lost 2 recently.

It's a small backyard flock and most come in and out of the house as they please.

Looking forward to seeing some of you at Jacob's Cave next weekend!

Lori-Chick, my kids live at Duluth, GA and they are watching that water supply too. That big lake is a major concern!

We're all wanting to get them moved back this way.

I grew up in Missouri. Then I lived in Kansas awhile. When we spent 10 awful months in Nebraska we never claimed to be Nebraskacans. We said we were "MO-Kans" LOL Now I am in Iowa. It's not Missouri but it's tons better than Nebraska. I could come back to Missouri if I wanted. As my grandmother needs someone for company and wants me to move in but I don't want to start a family fight and I have too many critters I would have to leave behind so I will stay in Iowa for now but always be Missouri at heart.

Hi, We're in South Kansas City. A woman from Stilwell just came to look at one of our goats for sale and saw all our chickens and recommended this site. We've got probably about 40 right now. Our favorites are our Seramas and our Polish Frizzles. Here is a picture of my husband's granddaughter with Big Tex, our 1.5 year old Serama Rooster, he is so tiny and so tame!!

Also have mini-Nubian dairy goats. (Some are for sale, http://www.whererv.com/ForSale.html)

I'm
happy to have found this site, sure wish I had seen it before I missed the Chicken Swap at Jacob's Cave, that sounds like a blast. Did anyone go? Is anyone going in October?
