Anyone going to have eggs hatch in novemeber?

hey everyone! can i join in the fun?
i just received 40 call duck eggs in the mail. their 1st day is November 1st..... hatch day is 26th of November..... i've hatched some about a month ago. i've also hatched chickens, quail, pheasants, and tried turkeys and geese (with no luck). good luck everyone on the hatches.

don

Yeah you can join :) Everyone is welcome to join no matter what type of eggs they are hatching :D I wont be starting my eggs til saturday/monday when they arrive then it will be 21 days from that for my hatch. I'm betting it will be very close to your hatch date for your ducklings

I will be hatching the 10th. I have 16 possible chicks. It's my first hatch, beside my accidental chick hatching this weekend.

I'm having a panic attack :( the tracking # for my eggs says they are out for delivery. But the mail came and he didn't bring a package up to the door or anything like that. I mean seriously? I've been home all day, then tomorrow i have to take my dog to the vet. I"m worried that they'll go to deliver while I'm at the vets office :( Guess I should leave a note for him to leave the package at the door in the mailbox.

Ugg! Thats like me; mine came in two boxes, tracking said they left the sorting facility at the same time but one came that day and the other didn't come till the next day. And the first one had a big dent and a cracked egg. I'm on Day 8 and I think that most of that box is scrambled ;-(

My eggs have been shipped today. I will get them in a few days. Either saturday or monday is my best estimate.
I cannot wait. I'm so excited. My incubation will start as soon as they arrive and reach room temp. :D

I'm not saying you have to but what i did with mine and this is what i was told from a breeder who knows her stuff. Is that when you get the fertile eggs just leave them to sit for a day so that the eggs content can settle before starting to form, place in room temperature.

So I have one external pip but they aren't supposed to hatch til late tomorrow so this one may just be an early bird. I hope he's okay because I went into lock down late.

I'm going to be putting my first ever eggs in my brand new incubator that is to arrive Wednesday! (Brinsea) I'm really excited, clueless and hopeful :)

I'm collecting eggs for the next few days to put in the incubator once it arrives. I'm only going to put 6 or 7 in for my first time and see how that goes.

Here is a crazy question: Is there is Right-Side-Up with eggs? Does it matter how I set them in the incubator? Also - how long before I know the eggs I've put in are/aren't fertile?

Thanks guys!!

I forgot to mention. I have 7 Easter eggers, 4 marans mixed, 3 barred rock (hopefully sex link), 2 production reds, and 3 from another pen but they are pullet eggs so we'll see how well they do.

I have the external pip in one hatcher and one really loud cheeping in another. I just got these extra hatchers and don't have hygrometers for them all, that makes me a little nervous.

YES! store your eggs at room temp or a little cooler, but not in the fridge, with the big end UP in egg cartons, tipping one end of the carton up in the morning then the other end in the afternoon. Just easier than having eggs rolling around the counter. If they are NOT shipped eggs you can lay them flat in the incubator, put an X on one side and at O on the opposite side and turn them over twice a day. Unless you have the auto egg turner, in which case follow the directions......
