Blue eggs are always hard to candle- it's because the colour is all through the shell, not just a thin layer on the outside of the egg
like other coloured eggs.
I have no problem seeing in the shell of the blues. The dark browns I have trouble seeing in side of. One of my blues has the ring of death

I was expecting at most to get 3 or 4 out of the 2 1/2 dozen eggs. Only 23 eggs made it to the incubator. two of those had slight cracks i didn't see until i candled them. One of those eggs that is cracked is developing normal.
Several of the eggs have detached air cells

I am happy that I have this many that are possibly going to hatch. I'm getting excited. I cannot wait to see what the babies look like. To see how many actually hatch. I'm not taking any out except the ring of death one. If i can't see anything in it then it can stay for now. Mostly I want a blue egg to hatch. I want it to be a pullet. I want to be able to have different colors of eggs being collected at my and my moms houses. I would love to give my neighbors some eggs and have at least one blue egg in it. Their son would be all excited and interested in that. Because they seem to think there are brown eggs and white because that is what is in the stores.
