(Brabanter babies hatching today-Yes! 2 out one half out and 3 more to pip.)

We got there about 815, didnt leave til almost noon. Walked throw 2 times, 2nd time got bargins. I got 5 butter cups and a hen guinea. I forgot to look for Ms, didnt see carole, did see jill who got me the swans. I almost bought some orange bob white quail, never seen or heard of them before. Had a blast.............

Was there anyone left at noon? I left (went to truck) at 10, took 30 minutes to get to road, thought everyone was leaving w/me...........LOL

Most were packing up at noon. I didnt get any of the orange bob whites, so I dont have any pics, sorry. They are lighter in color then a bob white, kind of a buff color. Thats the 1st Ive seen or heard of them. Why is it everytime you turn around, there is a new color of something?

Dogs----------gee wiz, there was so many dogs, I think half the place was dogs. Ive never seen so many different breeds, this crossed with that, oh and the prices of some of them mixed breeds was just unreal. What do ya think I could get if I got my jack russ dog and my barn cat to breed???? More then them 300 to 400.00 mixed breed dogs??? hahahah Just a thought............

Shewewe, i'm home

Seemed like it took forever this weekend. Usually we enjoy it imensely (sp), but this time it seemed like a chore! As previously posted, i met carole, cool lady! And the dogs, omg the dogs. But when we pulled in at midnight, we, for once in ....5 years? weren't parked near the stupid yappy dogs everyone seems to buy (not that all small dogs are yappy, just the one's i get stuck camping by). There were few chickens (of quality anywho), quite a few ducks though i thought, and it was NOT filled in well at all, even later in the day. I think the threat of weather and other activities may have kept them away?
I did good this time, sold every thing i took down, and one lady even hunted me down in Shipshe in the parking lot to see if i had any chicks left...freaked my daughter out. We were sitting there at the hardware store and this van pulls up and blocks me in and a lady gets out and marches up to my truck and my daughter whispers 'mom, that lady wants you', i laugh as i didn't notice her get out, and when i look, she's right at my door..kinda creepy

but she just wanted to know if i sold all my chicks, LOL I had no trouble with buyers, and a few came back for seconds when they realized some of the others were scammers (i bought 20 straight runs one year, ....had 19 roos and 1 pullet

What d'ya think that guy bought at the hatchery??? But I think all my kids got a good home.
Justinzoo, i'm in Barry Co. MI, in the center of the GrandRapids, Lansing, Battle Creek triangle. I have nothing left, but i'm getting ready to toss in several more dozen eggs for next months swap, if you would like me to hatch something for you?

I bought two pairs of mandarins, a pair of white silkies and some red golden pheasant eggs. I picked up a another standard blk cochin rooster too. I took a friend from work and he got some nice blk langshangs and buff bramas.
I am planning on selling some stuff at the next one too.
I agree there was a lack of quality chickens and a ton of dogs.
Ill have to look for you guys next time
