Loudounberry Farms in Leesburg Va. also sells day old peeps and fertile eggs
Hi Folks,
My name is Jonathan, and I live in suburban Kensington, MD. I have two beautiful Red Star hens, Hildegard and Helga, that are magnificent egg layers. They are happy and healthy in my large backyard. Unfortunately, I am taking a new job that requires significant travel and I'm uncertain whether I can take care of them appropriately. I feel as though I must find them a new home. I know there must be lots of chicken enthusiasts in the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area with large properties that could take a couple extra hens on. I am happy to drive them out to you! I love them and am sad to be contemplating this step, but it is for their welfare. They were purchased from Loudenberry farm in VA. Picture attached. Best, JC
Yes, I ordered in June 2022. I was worried about ordering from so far away. First time for me. All 50 quail arrived healthy and active. The losses I had were due to my beginners mistakes. When I called with questions the owner was generous with his time. Even shared his experience with trying tractor raising when I hoped for something other than small cages. Gave suggestions that might work better on my small scale. I ordered jumbo Pharaoh coturnix quail and have been very happy. They started laying eggs for me at 7 weeks! And have continued to give me an egg almost everyday, even during our cold winters ( with some supplimental light) I would definitely recommend them!Anyone has experiance with ordering live quail from Loudonberry farms ?
