If it was me I would not wait any longer. If they have been on but not have responded to your messeges then I suggest taking action now.

Hi, can I celebrate with you?

I have my first set of 28 eggs in the incubator. Last night I went to bed with 4 pipped. Woke this morning to a wet yellow chick peeping for the others to come out. By the time I left for work there were 5 out. At noon, I hear there were 12 out. I wish I was home to watch the full show.

Congrats on your hatches.:

well Beccaoh congrats on the new chickies. that is kinda crumby you cant watch it all happen but still super exciting. so i have a question how long does it take a chick to dry off? oh and another does it matter that the hatched chickie is bumping around all the unhatched eggs? i dont want to open the bator and hurt anybody by doing it so i am hoping the little one crashing around in there is not hurting anything.

Thanks. I'm hatching Buckeyes and Ameracauna. The one BO egg I put in from my own flock was first to hatch.

My friend who loaned me the incubator said to leave the chicks in 6 to 8 hours to dry. It is actually good to have them peeping around in there to encourage the ones still in eggs to come out. If I were home now, I'd probably be taking my first 6 or so hatchers out to give the ones still working on coming out more space.

I was up until 3 a.m. watching eggs roll and trying to decide which eggs were peeping! It was so exciting. I have two which have pipped... both frizzles. However, I also have polish and EE's which are trying to make an entrance into the world!

Third Pip!! It's a polish. I have one frizzle which I can see its beak and they are peeping so loud! It's going to be a really long day... but an exciting one!
