I feel your pain wanda, I have one just like that who has been piped since about 9 this morning or longer. The 2 that piped way later on are already hatching now. That little guy is just still chilling out in his egg no more progress and its so hard not to help. I am going to give it till morning by then my heart will let me know to help or not to help.
ETA: They can take 24 hours or longer to get out some are faster and some are slower. I had one to take over 26 hours from pip to complete hatch.
Have 19 day incubation Seramas hatching tonight. 2 out, at least 3 on the way! Tomorrow we should be doing my beloved White Cornish Bantams, Homemade Dark CornishXWhite Rock, B.C. Marans, and a couple Dark Cornish. I had to mark a few eggs as late (21st and 22nd). Couldn't make myself stop putting new eggs in the incubator! We'll see how that works! May not try it again, depending on the results! Tim
I have 2 out!! 1 almost out that I have had to help a bit. somehow its little foot got stuck outside one of the zipped holes and it could not turn anymore to zip. I tried helping but saw a bit of blood and stopped maybe he will be able to finish the job itsself.
2 beautiful little frizzles have made it into the world! Yeah!
I have 4 more pips, 1 frizzles and 3 polish. They are just screaming their heads off!
I had to rescue one of my new babies. It was totally stuck. I was real hesitant to help it, but it had been 24 hours and I am so glad I intervened. Yolk had already absorbed and there were no blood veins or anything scary to deal with. This particular egg was the roundest little egg I have ever seen. this poor baby was just stuck.
4 out this morning and more with pips!
So far 2 ameraucanas from Crunchie 1 blue and 1 splash
and 2 of my bbs silkies. Cannot tell if they are blue or black yet
Still waiting for any outward signs from black orps or the split lavs.
Day 21, no sounds, no pips, no rocking, no nothing. *sigh* Not looking good. But I won't open the hatcher before Friday. So much for "dry" incubation. Going to put about 12 chicken eggs in the bator today with the guinea eggs already in there.
