I could not find the ear amplifier either....they said it was as seen on tv and seasonal. So, I bought a blood pressure kit that had a stethoscope and used it. I could hear the heart beat and swishing around. Laid the egg down so I would not be hearing me!

Where did you get the stethoscope from?

Hey Alas, I had one hatch out yesterday morning that also had twitching legs. If I remember correctly someone posted on this thread that the twitching legs is a vitamin deficiency and to give them some electrolytes. In a couple days they should be better or getting there. Maybe someone one can correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

Hmm, any idea where to get electrolytes when the feed store is closed?

No I don't. But I am sure that it may be okay until tomorrow. I just starting giving mine some. Sorry I can't be of help.

Walmart in the pharmacy....in a box with the blood pressure cuff. My DSD just took the stethoscope off the cuff for me. Have something like a bowl ready with a washcloth in it so you are not holding the egg when trying to listen to it.

Walmart or Walgreens...got mine at walgreens....plus I picked up polyvisol w/o iron there too

Good idea I didn't think of that.

So we did the float test this afternoon, on the 11 remaining eggs in our first hatch. The official tally is one vigorous little pullet and 12 eggs that didn't make it. Not bad in my opinion, since we knew early on we were having problems regulating both temperature and humidity.

Hey everyone I just put up an auction for eggs with new pictures of the babies that I just hatch out. For anyone that wants to check them out.
Here is the one that I really like. Never got one like this before. I can't wait for it to fully feather out.
