SO CUTE!!!! Does it help to put in a stuffed animal?
I just put it in there to give them something to cuddle. Some love it. My 4 week old white leghorns from tsc love to sleep on top of it and climb all over it.
I just found this thread, I have 3 eggs due today. Of the 7 I started with, they all had lose air cells. 4 were clear when candled and tossed on day 10. The 3 that are left looked ok, I think, before lockdown. I really hope these 3 sizzle babies make it.
No pips or movement yet.
My son put 6 eggs (3 each) under my two banty girls who are both broody on March 27th and we are looking to hatch on April 17th or so. I am about a week behind you.
One of the eggs the banty discarded a couple of days ago and when I put it back she pecked at it till it cracked. So now we have 3 black bantam cochin eggs and 2 larger mystery eggs (backyard mix chicks).
Help everybody! One of my chicks hatched this morning but he didn't suck in all of his yolk. Some of it (the size of a thumb) was hanging out of him. It disconnected once he escaped the egg shell and started to roll and walk around. Will he be ok? I wasn't able to watch my other chickens hatch so I don't know if this is normal. Will he require earlier feeding because he didn't get all the nutriente from the yolk? Oh, I am sooooo worried.
