I use a spray bottle filled with bleach water. I just mix it up with the water and bleach..spray the bator. Let it sit a couple of min..and then I use hot water to rinse, then I use cold water to rinse. I always do a sniff smell>>>no, not a taste test

....to see if it smells like bleach...if it doesn't, I'm good. It's clean.

i checked on the babies this am and there was another one dead.

it was one of the last to hatch and i did have to help it. i think next time i won't help as much. i guess there is a learning curve but the earlier ones that i helped did really well. on the upside the rest look so good. i am going to take them outside for a little bit today. it's supposed to be in the 80's. how early do they start growing in their grown up feathers? one of mine is starting to get wing and tail feathers. kinda cool

Most of mine started feathering in the first week. The chicks that hatched last Wednesday are already starting to feather and i have 3 partridge bantams that were pretty much fully feathered at 5 weeks

Wow I guess mine is an early bloomer. I tried to post a pic but my computer was being silly. I have heard that the ones that feather earliest are girls. Is that a myth? I'm really hoping it is a she but it is very dominant seems more like boy behavior.
