Any more news paddock36?

I went on lockdown last night. The one egg that was questionable started leaking, so I took it out (I did not have the nerve to open it). I have four left with movement. Today is day 26, so hopefully I will start seeing pips by tomorrow.

Congrats to everyone with new babies!!!

And sorry to hear about the ones that didn't make it...

I went on lock down last night! So, Friday I'm hoping for babies. I built my incubator as well and this is our first hatch in it so I'm crossing my fingers.

I have some eggs shaking and I see a few with hair line cracks, but I still hear nothing!
I should hear them peeping right?

When are they in the "danger zone" and I may need to intervene? When the start cracking or when you start hearing them peep?

MAN I feel like I am pregnant again!

Well, I got 5 from the six eggs that I knew were good. The sixth died before it ever piped. The other five are cute and my friend that was hatching the other half of the eggs under his broody hen said he has chicks too. Here are the five I hatched.

I ended up with 5 Bantam welsummers and 1 Bobwhite quail.
I took a pic but Having computer problems so soon as I can get it working I will post a pic.

Just noticed my first pip. But I'm not waiting up - hopefully I'll awaken to some peeping. They are not due until tomorrow night, so this one's a little early. It's always thrilling, a real miracle - no matter how many times you've done it.

Congratulations, Paddock36!
