locked down this morning my black copper marans and my barnyard mix. and moved my 7 bcm that aren't due to lockdown till next monday to our backup homemade incubator.

So in 5 days I'm expecting my 3 chicks as mentioned before, and I'm also expecting upto 7 chicks, form my silkie.

Good luck to everyone/we had some monsoon storms knocked out our electricity so temp got down to 96 before I hooked up my generator so hope no damage. We will see!

Mine are due on the 24th. I have 7 OEGB Wheaten, 2 splash and 1 black all are bantams. All but 2 look good, I am leaving those in there, unsure if they will hatch.

Thanks Americana-Chick Just new to this and its fun and Terrifying at the same time my first hatch 10% the second was 66% so hoping to keep it at least 66% so many variables the big increase was BYC and the information The right thermometers and hygrometers made all the difference.now more fun than scary.

Mine are due Thursday too! But mine are under the bird. Candled the other night and all I saw was dark and air sacks! I had one get crushed the other day and it had the most perfect little chick inside. But I suppose that's life (or death) for you. I've got 8 more eggs. I think most all are mutts since I got from my neighbor for my broodie. 6 are brown and 2 are green.

Here's hoping at least one hatches and makes it. My girl won't stop brooding. She tried in the spring and nothing hatched, and then a month later she went broody again.

Good luck all!
