Where did you get your eggs from Rin?

I was wondering about that. What if you get a whole set of infertile eggs? Would the seller be obligated to replace them? Or sorta more like a "if they're honest they will" situation?

Ooooo, I'll join, I have over 25 cochins eggs, 5 mix bred standards, and 23 valley quail eggs due to hatch between the 7th and the 15th of December

Pretty much though, if I got a decent sized batch(at least 6 eggs) and none of them developed at all and when I cracked them open I was seeing the same thing with those two eggs - I'd contact the breeder. They might help you out, they might not. They'd still be out the eggs that they could have eaten or used otherwise. My two eggs didn't smell bad when I cracked them at all so I scrambled them and added them to my dog's food. I bet that sounds odd but hey the dog loved it and they were perfectly fine. I would have eaten them myself but watching these guys develop has totally put me off eating eggs. Too much in protective mother hen moad. I saw one moooviiinnnggg, it made it impossible to sleep that night.

Good news!! Candled the eggs tonight 12 out of 14 look great! We can see the embryos and veins. The two in question are a BLO and an EM. So we will see what they look like in about 5 days or so. My daughter REALLY wants that BLO to hatch. The BCM's are so dark I can hardly see through them. I am hopping they are right on target with the others though.

Hi,
Really new to this whole chicken thing. I have four chickens! One Americana, Two Brahmas, and a brown danish leghorn. I am really interested in Cuckoo Marans, mostly for the great dark eggs. (I hope they get along with my other chickens!) I think that the only way to ensure that we get the ones that lay the dark eggs, is to hatch them yourself! So, I found eggs......oh then I ordered an inexpensive incubator. SO, I held off ordering the eggs, until I am sure that the incubator is on it's way.

ANY ADVICE.......
