Eggcited to fing his thread. We are due July 3 with my first ever 'bator batch o' babies. I have quite a variety of 29 mixes and 5 Blue Americauna. I have 7 silkie roo over buckey, white rock, olive egger & an old english game hen. The rest are black copper Marans roo and easter egger hen & 2 with a polish hen. Oh yes and 3 from Betty a dark cornish with Americauna roo. I should have quite a rain bow.

Well Ive only 1 Jap egg still going and 5 Wyandotte eggs left. Ill post pics when (if) they hatch

And we have a peep!!! a whole day early!!!

Olive got up for lunch, and this little guy was under her!

Our broody is setting on eggs that should hatch sometime around the 4th, give or take a few days (we didn't realize she was broody until she had had a chance to steal a few extra eggs from her flock mate.) Last night we had a thunderstorm that closed the door to her nest area. I realized it late, but I'm hoping that maybe an egg or two will still hatch.
