Wow, do you know they are broody when they just stay on there nest most of the time?
Usually they will puff up and growl at you. Kind of giving you heck about trying to move them.
Almost all of mine does that. Also if you see one sitting a lot. And when you go into the pen she gets up.
I use a plastic large dog kennel. So its darker and big so a couple hens can be put in. I have one that has 4 girls in it. Think its one that
will hold rottweiler or German Shepard. And then check on them twice a day. Oh give them and egg or golf ball. If she stays then she is going to stay.
Sometimes all they need is a dark place. I do put food and water in the crate and close the door so I don't have hens trying to steal eggs or laying eggs and pushing the
ones you want to hatch out.
