I do the same thing.

Does anyone else do the sniff test like 3 times a day? Well last night after trick or treating with my kids I did my daily sniff check and smelled a stinker in Splash Marans eggs. I figured it was going to be one of the two that I had to patch so I picked one up and it didn't stink, so I quick stuck my flashlight on it (I mean, I had already picked it up, why not check it? lol) and it is developing! Fingers crossed it keeps doing good.

The other one that I patched was the stinker, so I pulled it and out of morbid curiosity, cracked it open to see if it developed at all... and oh my word I think I almost puked! Talk about the rotten egg smell! Blech!

Glad I got that thing out of there before it eggs-ploded all over the place!

To crack them open put them in a clear kitchen bag like ziplock then crack them. That way no smell. I cracked a turtle egg open once and it exploded in my face

I washed my face about 6000 times and I think I can still smell it to this day

OMG I can't even imagine what I would do if that happened to me!!!

At least you can laugh about it now,

I'm sure at the time it wasn't so funny though, blah!!

It's kind of a laugh to keep from crying thing

I still shudder and turn green at the thought

! My eyesight is really limited so I bent in real close to see

I am fretting my poor broody to death. I took her breakfast this morning (which she didn't eat!) No new babies yet! All I have to do is touch her chest and she lifts up for me, like "here look!!" She's so sweet, putting up with all my harrassing!
