i want to candle so bad but i'm affared if i do i will see ones that have quit grrr lockdown is friday

I candled the Catdancesilkie eggs and there are 19 going strong

Now if they can hold on that would be

The auction was for 18 and she sent 24

So I'm still one ahead

My silkie eggs are wiggling a little so maybe today

The Sizzle eggs are my second, and my Splash Marans will be my third. I know how it feels, but don't get discouraged! We'll just keep our fingers crossed for good hatches.

This is my second hatch as well, first with shipped eggs though, first hatch we started with 11 WS eggs from our girls out back and had 6 hatch, and are 3 weeks old now and doing great! I will be happy if I at least get 1 silkie from these!!

I checked my broody this morning. She now is the proud mama of 3 peeps. I candled the remaining 2 and 1 was a late quitter, (sloshy grossness) and the other is pipped internally. Hopefully it will be out today. Yiippeee! It has been in the 20s here at night and I was worried about leaving her outside. They all were as warm as toast this morning. When I got her to lift for me the babies ran back under her when they felt the blast of cold air!
