To me, this contest is about the sharing of the message that backyard chicken keeping is enjoyable and rewarding in countless ways.
Through my Egg Tree, we have shared this message with legions of people all across Facebook, Backyard Chickens.com, Twitter, the blogging community and beyond, most of whom have had absolutely no exposure to the benefits of backyard chicken keeping. It's not about the tree or the contest, it's about the chickens and celebrating everything they mean to us.

As for the eggs, you probably can't tell the scale accurately from the photo. They're just average sized eggs and some are even bantam eggs. I have BOs, BCMs, BRs, SSHs, Amearaucanas, EEs, and more!
