I have a Blue Andy banty cross he had to have help getting out of his egg because his mom was a tiny banty he looked to big for his egg it took him a while to get moving one he got out. When he was 4 weeks old he was as big as his mom.

I moving my Silkie and her 5 eggs into the chicken apartment tonight since my other hens have decided to lay in her nest and I don't want anything to happen to the eggs

Just locked down 14 silkies from 17, with 3 EE mixes, and 4 whatever mixes...time to be occupied

Eeeeeee!!!!!! I set my very first eggs in my very first incubator for my very first hatch tonight! I'm hatching in a brinsea Eco but I'm posting here hoping to get a quick response. Ive got most of my eggs set between 45*-75* but theyre balancing on each other, is that ok? Also theyre in two full rows in the middle and two eggs on each of the outside rows, does that sound about right? Or should they be placed different? I've been instructed to leave them alone for the first 24hrs, does that include turning or should I keep a normal turning schedule from the very beginning?
Is there anything else I should know right off the bat? I've printed the calendar from the 1st page and have added notes I've picked up from other places. Any help would be appreciated

incubating is so much fun!! Everyhting sounds ok, when you say your eggs are set between 45-75, what do you mean? And I don't turn mine for the first 24 hours. Hope this helps and im sure some more will be along soon who know a little more than me, good luck!!!

My hubs and I have had the same problem, we tried candling to see if we could tell but still didn't help much so we just made a hopeful guess.

I don't know if there is another way to tell or not? Our LG came preset, not sure what the angle was. Do you have a picture you could share?
