I should have made a bigger mark on it like I did the other. When I cracked it open it was showing good development which makes me madder at myself!!! I am going to seperate her when I get home, and maybe put one more egg under her from the bator, I'm sure she won't like it but it's for the best interest on the eggs.

Move her after dark. I wouldn't put anymore under her till you are certain she is going to stay in her new location. Silkies are pretty good about it, but you wouldn't want to risk a egg that you don't have to. Then when you are certain she's staying put then add another egg if you want.

since this is my first broody hen I really don't have a clue what I'm doing, lol

So need all the help I can get. I think my other hens must be squeezing in there with her during the day or kicking her out during the day, because everytime I have seen her she's been on her eggs, so I think she's going to be a good broody!!!

HELLO=D boy did I miss you guys yesterday! I was so lonely! I had to work to make to day go faster

I have 4 new peeps, my broody hatched out 2 but killed 1 by stepping on it poor baby! So I brought the other in. She has 2 more eggs under her and 1 had pipped this morning. I had 3 hatch out of the lockdown peeps. 1 showgirl, 2 silkies. 2 internally pipped but died and the others were duds.

Can;t wait to see some pics!!! I moved my broody last night, she didn't seem to happy about it so we will see how she does today in the new location.
