I have figured out how to post pics directly in a post, if you scroll over the icons at the top one of them says insert image. I haven't tried in the gallery yet though. Maybe this will help?!?!

I'm so excited

I candled my eggs last night the 4 silkie eggs all have air sacs are at the top of the eggs and i saw 2 teeny tiny little heads up around the sacs so it won't be long now. My turken eggs are a week younger but are looking good so I'm hoping my silkie girl will keep it up until they hatch too. This broody hatch is going so much better than the last one. As much as I would love to have chicks now I really hope they wait until the weekend because we are supposed to get some nasty cold wind and snow tomorrow. The boys aren't going to like when they have to stay inside they say we can get gust up to 40 mph and windchill of single digits and since it's been in the 50's for the last 2 weeks it's going to be a major shock to them

Hope they keep up the good work!! When are they due to hatch?? Hope they hold off until the bad weather passes!!

21 days is Saturday so I'm hoping they wait but she's been sitting on them tight from the beginning so they may go early if they can just wait until Friday we should be ok the wind is supposed to die down late thursday

I so hope to have a succesful hatch so I can post pics of my babies!!!

My broody hen is no longer wanting to sit on her eggs since I moved her, so I'm glad I didn't move any from the bator. Anyone know why she isn't now?? Is it just the change in location? I let my chickens free range, and she was pacing back and forth across the fence like she wanted to be out with them, even though where she is now has ALOT of space, before I moved her, she didn't even care, when I would let everyone out, she stayed on her eggs, so I dunno whats up??
