This my first hatch, mostly mutts and mystery matings.

They should hatch next week. I put 13 in, and only one was infertile. I haven't candled much, but I think I will tonight because one of them looked questionable...

Just set 24 backyard mutt eggs. there are different haratage breeds mated together so lets see what i get.

My late NYD Hatch chicks (33 of 'em) are all out in the coop in a separate Chicken Kindergarten area, with their EcoGlow brooder heaters and feeder and waterers. (I have a regular style waterer and a nipple waterer in with them. They DO use both.)

Right now in two incubators (two Brinsea MiniAdvance EX units) are 13 Silkie eggs due to hatch sometime today or tomorrow. In another incubator are 6 White Crested Black Polish eggs, due in another week and a half.

I have never hatched nor owned either Silkies or WCBP birds. I'm kind of excited but trying not to be TOO excited, in case nothing hatches. Better to expect nothing and be pleasantly surprised, hmmm?

I candled my Brent eggs Melissa Rose. I did a quick look, not a pick up and look. So far it looks like about half are showing development. 10 are a day behind, I had gave them to my broody but she wasn't behaving so I brought them back inside.

I will do a better look in 3 days and toss clears.
