Ok guys i candled the eggs a day early cause had to add water any but here it goes the 3 that i thought were duds were so and 1 extra died so i know have 20 left but i have 4 confusing ones that are hard to explain but they had a deffinate embryo in them but were deffrent from all the rest but left them in there

I had a chick come out full force. All over the incubator. He/she is knocking all of the eggs all over the place. Is this normal?

Yes, some chicks will do that. One of mine that hatched out did that.

I have two shipments of silkie eggs that are both going to be arriving today!

Its great that they're getting here on the same day and they came from two different places. I hope I have a good hatch unlike last time when none of my shipped eggs hatched out

. This will be my second time hatching out eggs.

for a better hatch!! My first attempt with shipped eggs I had none hatch either, it's just always a gamble when they are shipped. Hopefully having 2 batches from different places will make a difference too!

Personally I don't like them knocking the other eggs around

Some people think it does help the others to hatch but I have had several eggs turned upside down that died soooo! I don't have a problem with my humidity since I use the little fridge incubators it literally takes just seconds to get the humidity high so I wait for the little one to come near the door then I reach in really fast and snag them and put them in another incubator to fluff up! Yeahhhhhhh you have a chicklet
