Anyone hatching on 20/21st August?

I put 15 of my mixed eggs in the bator late in the evening of the 2nd, so they should be hatching around that time. I candled them last night and 13 of the 15 are definitely developing veining. I think the other 2 are as well, but the shells are darker and they're a little harder to see through.

I'm especially pleased that all 6 of my one EE's eggs look to be developing. They are some of her first eggs and a couple of them spent almost a week in the frig before I decided they should be incubated instead of eaten.

Ive got around 59 guinea eggs and about 5-6 mixed bantam eggs going in the hatcher the 20th and then around the 24th ive got 10 turkey eggs going into the hatcher. I cant wait! Not sure what ill do with all those guineas but ill think of something.

Thanks for the help natchlaly - I have never heard of easter eggers before will have to do some research on those.

I have this incubator with enables you to candle the eggs whenever you want ......so have been candling daily - they are really wiggling about now and look very healthy....at the moment - fingers crossed the ones under my broody are doing as well.......ooooOOO i am so excited

My first try in my new Brinsea Mini incubator - holds seven eggs...The countdown says 11 days to go. I candled this week and five of the seven definitely have embryos swimming around in them. The other two are brown eggs and somewhat porous so I can't be sure. Gonna look at those two again tonight. It is a mixed bag of barnyard chickens I got from the guy who runs the feed store. His wife raises chickens and sells eggs for $1.00 a dozen. He brought me in some fresh ones to incubate...Seven in the bator and five in me and the DH. Hoping for the best for all of us!

I set a dozen on 8-1- candled tonight and at least some are viable. I should hatch about the 21st - somemone correct me if I am wrong, cause I am on vacation 15, 16, and 17. I thought it would be ok if my neighbor would come put water in the incubator, and I should stop turning on 18 I think? Anyway, first timer here, so I'm in with ya'll!!!

I've got 11 showgirls and 1 Delaware/Wellie cross due on the 19th under a broody cuckoo marans hen. I can't candle cuz I'm on vacation and am getting updates from an inexperienced chicken sitter who doesn't know about candling...it's killing me!
